Overview
More
The Cathedral was only completed in 1978. It was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott when he was only 22 years old. It is a great space, without pillars or pews, the space is able to host huge concerts, exhibitions and fine dining on the main floor. The tower is 110m high and is the best view in the city.

Been here before both day & night (for crew party) Came this time for the moon display, very impressive. Took the opportunity to go to the roof - wow, 2 lifts and a scary staircase but what a view

The cathedral on its own is magnificent and an awe inspiring place to visit. Combine it with the tower experience and you won't be disappointed. The stairs were not too difficult and there is plenty of space so people can go past you if needed....More

Whilst one usually finds the space, light and majesty of large cathedrals uplifting regret to say that, whilst definitely very large - as apparently Britain's largest cathedral - the interior, whilst awe inspiring, was overly dark with, in certain areas, the walls appearing to 'close...More
