Excellent house and gardens to visit, brilliant shopping all year round from Halloween pumpkins, to the Bauble barn, followed by spring bulbs and Sarah Jane interiors. Excellent dining too, not only for dinner time, but lunch too.

Doddington Hall has been imaginatively used to maximise it's potential. There is a superb cafe which uses local grown food. The service is always efficient. A very good farm shop. Your can browse India Jane if you want furnishing for your house. There are walks and we always go in the summer when the sculpture exhibition is on. A lovely way... More

The café is attached to the restaurant and farm shop I felt that although the drink and teacake were nice they did not warrant the quite substantial price tag

We went to see the snowdrops that were really lovely and will be much better in years to come as they spread quite quickly. The Hall wasn't open but the cafe, restaurant and shops were and very busy. There is enough to keep you occupied for an afternoon out. We shall go back later in the year a visit the... More

A popular venue but plenty parking and fresh food in shop and cafe plus restaurant always popular. We've booked in advance for the restaurant to avoid disappointment. Staff helpful. Guides in house informative and not stuffy. Lovely to go there at Christmas time to see trees for sale, wreaths and also decorations. Nice gift shopping in the shop too.

Easy to spend a few hours here, the house is a magnificent Elizabethan mansion with wonderful rooms, furniture and art, set in gardens which have a number of walking routes. Leaflet available giving details. There is also a lovely farm shop, bike shop, coffee shop and restaurant! Well worth a visit

As if the hall and gardens were not spectacular enough, the food hall and cafe were brilliant too. From the ladies taking our entrance money to the girls clearing the tables the staff were exceptional. The weather was awful...rain. sleet. cold windy but there were such pretty sights id did not spoil our day. The weather did clear enough for... More

An interesting experience with good value food as lunch later. This was preceded by a gentle stroll around the grounds.

Doddington Hall is well worth a visit - it is a very interesting house, and very beautiful too, with really stunning gardens. The Farm shop is a regular with us, as most of the veg is locally-sourced. The locally-baked bread from Welbourn bakeries, as well as fish products from Chapmans of Grimsby are really good. It's always a pleasure to... More
