These meadows are just around the corner from our home. We are often there walking the towpath along the river or canal. The Kings Lock Cafe along the canal is a great place for a break and a light meal. Beautiful and peaceful place.

A beautiful area of countryside, nature reserve and canalside views. Cafe near Packhorse bridge and local pubs serving real ale nearby.

Use this facility frequently. Mixed habitat, plenty of wildlife. I have seen red kites, buzzards, badgers, muntjacs along with the more easily accessible wildlife. Aylestone meadows covers a large area. Very dog friendly and easy walking terrain
