Had a lovely walk around the lake, this was very peaceful even though it was the weekend, perfect for all the family or just the two of you.

A good park with a lot of activities including sailing. We enjoyed walking with a picnic afterwards. The dog walkers pass the time of day and the cyclists (most of them) ring their bells when they come through. We spent some time in the bird...More

The south side part of the park is supposed to educate people about being greener. Unfortunate that one section is full of litter that the locals have thrown away. And one of the unisex toilets was literally covered in excrement.

If you want a peaceful walk for just you, or maybe a partner, then I would avoid the southern section which gets crowded with families (nothing wrong with families!) and go for the relative quiet of the northern section off the A46 past Syston. There...More

Amazing huge place. Very good for a walk and biking. Many places to have picnic or a nice rest on the grass or on a bench.

Visited this for a carefree roam. However beware about where you park. The con is if you park in a county entrance you pay the price to park but move to the city entrance off Melton road and it's free. Choose wisely. It's a con.

You can happily walk or cycle round this park for miles, take a picnic or even walk along the canal into the city. This is a great place for families or dog walking.

Nice park with a lot of wildlife and plenty of nice walks, the canal runs next to the park which also leads to the Hope & Anchor pub

I walk my dogs on a lead. I wouldn't have thought that you should have them off lead or in the water but many people do as the park is out of town and unsupervised.
