There was a lot to see - we concentrated on the display devoted to the visit of the Prince of Wales to India in 1875. The presents given by the various Indian princes were amazing. We also thoroughly enjoyed the 20th century art - particularly...More

This was only small but there was a lot there. Lots of snippets of things and a real mixture so not overwhelming. Dinosaurs, Egyptians, earth, animals plus portraits etc Worth a visit, especially as it's free!

Walking from the station to the hospital I found myself next to this museum. It is a gem. Free to enter and with an excellent display of fossil finds including a large reconstructed dinosaur, many of the exhibits were found locally. Certainly worth a visit....More

The exhibition was wonderful. The travels of Prince Albert Prince of Wales in 1875 to 76 to India and all the gifts he was given. Fantastic jewels and very intricate engraving, carving and sewing. The emeralds were my favourite. They were in a beautiful crown...More
