Since a King was found this area of Leicester has come into its own, the council has improved walkways and tidyied the buildings up. its part the bonus from the Cathedral updating going on in the city.

This GuildHall is of Historical interest. It once housed England's third oldest Public Library Est. 1632 AD. It has very well preserved buildings and a good museum, including Old Gaol Cells of the time. Well worth a visit.

We had a talk in one of the ancient rooms here about the discovery and exhumation of the body of King Richard III, followed by a champagne reception in another medieval room, then upstairs for a lunchtime banquet in a more modern part. All excellent....More

Actually I stumbled upon this building completely unplanned. All in all, I am happy I did. It was nice to see part of the Leicester city history and learn about the past. 30-45 minutes are enough and could be visited just after seeing the King...More

For free, who can grumble. Well laid out and informative . I feel that the displays were designed more for younger people, butility nothing wrong with that. All in all, a very pleasant waye or spending an hour .

The Church-multi-bells can be very annoying. If you are not from the city it will be very surprising the loudness and frequency even at 9 PM. At first it hears interesting, after sequence 3 you start thinking...…….why so loud and why that complex sound.
