Blackpool Zoo is a family friendly attraction, providing fun and education for all ages. Situated only 2 miles inland the Promenade, the park is easily accessible from the M55 motorway. Over 1000 animals, birds and reptiles reside in a scenic 32 acre park amidst mature trees, lakes and spacious lawns where the kids can burn off their excess energy. All your favourites are here including big cats, elephants, giraffes, sealions, gorillas, orangutans, camels, zebras and many, many more. Opened in 2014, the new Orangutan Outlook allows visitors to get up close and personal with these charismatic apes. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10 am, the park's closing times vary seasonally.

We took our near 3 year old and her 7 year old cousin .we thought it was a bit expensive at 43 £ but they have done a lot of improvement over winter and they are building a new elephant house . The park had been getting sad looking and the improvements are great .we were very disappointed that they... More

We're regular zoo-goers! This was a lovely zoo, worth every penny! Lots of different, well cared for animals!! Lots of talks and displays! The Amazing walk thru was really good with squirrel monkeys walking right next to us! Cafe wasn't as pricey as some, £6 for a large adult meal with drink and really nice! No complaints whatsoever! Will definitely... More

We had a great day here! It was overcast but that didn't matter at all! There are a few indoor exhibits to dip into to avoid the rain! Would highly recommend going to the talks/feeds, the guide we had was really good at keeping your attention and had plenty of great facts! The otters, tigers and sea lion shows/feeds were... More

This zoo was brilliant, it's so cheap for how much fun you have! It's so big and plenty to do, there's so many different animals. The sealion show and elephant talk was amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful. The little monkeys are also running around above you and all around where your walking it was such a good experience.... More

Thank you for your comments. I'm pleased that your grandchildren enjoyed their visit. The zoo is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year and some of our buildings date back to that time. However, we work on a rolling programme of refurbishment and new build as our budgets allow. We are also open all year round, so try to cause as... More
