It was a very cold evening when we visited but we stayed as long as we could. The lights were great and seemed to go on for miles. Glad that we made the effort.

From Starr Gate to Bispham, the illuminations are now 6 miles long. Probably best to do the route the way we did, start at one end & go by bus or tram then walk the route back, unless you are really fit & fancy walking...More

Great fun, best seen by a tram ride. It goes on for over a mile and you can't avoid it, but why would you want to? It's what Blackpool is all about!

No matter how many times you travel up and down the golden mile there always seems to be some great spectacle that you missed last time. Unbelievable.

With rising costs the council and whoever else do their best, but I have seen much better displays in the past.

I've always wanted to visit Blackpool illuminations. It is very pretty. There is so much to see and do. Another 'British thing to do' crossed off my bucket list. You must do it once and make sure you take a ride on the tram.

Sorry but got spoilt by Walsall illuminations when they used to be on. Could have done better with the central ones. Snowflakes! Why nothing on the lampposts down there? Who came up with that idea? Very poor and minimal for central. Also saw lots of...More

Enjoyed being able to walk the promenade and see the illustrations this year. Lots of cars queuing to drive through but well organised. Very popular event, great atmosphere. Tram system is well organised and efficient. Love the magic of Blackpool illuminations.

Do you mean the Cinderella carriages? They were £45 from one end of the promenade to the other. You can buy a tram ticket for a day and hop n and off as often as you want. I was £14.50 for a 7 day ticket.

Lights are supposed to be around 6 miles long, bit of a walk if it is cold, wet or windy. We went at busy time so to avoid long queue we used tram - £6 each. Leaves from by Pleasure Beach and takes you back there. Would have... More
