Our guide, Matthew, was a local resident and was fully cohesive and informative about the district while navigating us through some very narrow lanes and steep hills! His demur was polite and down-to-earth and clearly an expert guide in every sense of the word, leaving...More

Would recommend mountain goat bus. We took it from hill top to hawkshead then all the way back down to ferry house. Kevin's input to the area and recommendations for nice places for a cafe lunch or pub lunch was much appreciated. Nice touch!

Really enjoyed our guide, Tess, who took us on this half day tour. Enjoyed the scenery, learned local history and about Beatrix Potter who, it turns out, helped the Lake District be as it is today. It was a small group and would recommend this...More
