Really enjoyed our visit to the pencil museum. It is fairly new as the old one was flooded in the 2015 bad December floods. It was actually very interesting and our 3 year old loved it too especially the colouring in section. We were also...More

The pencil museum is a modern take on museums. Built for school parties rather than pencil officianados and making a lot out of a little. I'd have liked more on the history of the company and the breakthroughs in pencil technology through the ages. Pleased...More

A very expensive mistake even with the oap discount! (£4.50 per person) there is one large room with lots of boxes of pencils and two small displays of how pencils are made from graphite!

Expensive is one word that sums up the museum and its parking. However, the shop is quite nice and has quite a bit of stuff for all ages. We loved the shop and wouldn't mind visiting again. The museum, forget it; especially with young kids!!!

the museum was more interesting than we expected and the grandchildren, 7 and 10, enjoyed doing the quiz. There is quite a lot of reading for them to do but they did find it interesting and so did we.

This tiny place is great for kids that like stationary! The museum is wordy but there are enough little fun facts to get across that ours, 4&8 were not bored. The lady who sits and shows the kids how to draw occupied us for nearly...More

Hi Lucy, we are hoping to reopen on Friday, 26th May. We have been refurbishing the Museum after a severe flood last year.
