Vastly overpriced but you would be paying more for the location that the services. Lots of tourists come to the area who are happy to pay the prices. The cafe is just on the side of the lake. Good place to wait for the boat across the lake.

We saw 2 performances in the main house, both as part of the 2017 jazz festival. Excellent musicians, superb atmosphere. House staff very friendly, pre theatre dinner in the adjacent cafe good value. Altogether a smashing experience.

We saw "Chess" -- a Tim Rice creation. It was well directed though the talent ranged from awful to spectacular. A lot of local talent (think Florence Foster Jenkins) so it was fun to watch. Loved the theatre, the lovely coffee shop, and the crush of the loyal patrons. A nice night out and a welcome respite from all the... More

I was fortunate enough to see three shows at the 'Theatre by the Lake' and they were all brilliant. There is the 'Studio' small and intimate. If you are on the front row you can more or less touch the actors they are that close! (I watched 'The Edge of Darkness and also the 'Professor of Adventure'A wonderful experience. The... More

Not the first time I've been to the Theare By The Lake but must go more. This time it was to see a play about Millican Dalton which was so well written and performed. Really great organisation thanks to the help of dedicated volunteers. A must do if visiting Keswck.

The show was absolutely fabulous Cath & the choir made everyone's evening special, this was better than any of the other 4 years in my opinion The only downside to the evening lays at the hands of the TBTL The queues to get a drink both on the ground floor and upstairs were ridiculously long When you have over 100... Hi Ian, Thank you for your feedback, first of all please allow us to apologise for the severe delay at the interval. Our catering partner Baxter Storey is currently revising their staffing structure. Historically, for a full house, they have three staff in the stalls bar and one member of the team in the mezzanine bar. Clearly this was not... More
