Such a quaint little building

Her pictures wer just wonderful and the Gallery which was her solicitor husband's office was just quirky. A great place to visit.

The present exhibition highlighted aspects of Potter's life with which we are less acquainted. I wish that more were known about the interesting building in which the museum is housed, beyond the fact that it was her husband's place of work.

I can't say I was ever a fan of Beatrix Potter or that I ever read any of her books. However, the gallery is a must-see attraction if visiting Hawkeshead. I loved learning about the history and the layout of exhibits in this wonderful, charming house was expertly done. Unexpectedly, I enjoyed even more looking at some of the original... More

Something for everyone here. My two year old loved the characters from the books. My two boys admired her artwork and enjoyed finding out more about Beatrix Potter.

A small gallery but crammed full of details and art from Beatrix Potter's life. A good little area for young children to read and play too. Very small but doesn't seem to be crowded as the other Beatrix Potter attractions in the area

Fabulous but tiny house with wonderful surprises. So marvellous to be in the same room as Beatrix Potters iconic artwork in its original form. Very engaging.

Well worth a visit but get there for opening otherwise no room to park car. Helpful guides from the National Trust make it stand out

I loved this little building with all its quirks and unusual presentation. It is the first time I have watched a video on a clock face. I absolutely loved it.

This gallery is brilliant if you want to view Beatrix Potter's original drawings. There are so many that we were told they change the exhibits after a period of time. Therefore you could visit again and you would probably see a different set of drawings. The entrance of the gallery is the solicitor's office, all set out as it would have... More
