A must if you visit Grasmere. The best gingerbread in the world. Some people have their own idea what gingerbread is. This is the best tasting gingerbread in the world, honest.

We were told of this little gem from fellow coast to coast walkers. You only need 5-10 minutes and 2-5 pounds to buy enough ginger bread to keep you smiling for several days.

What a tiny little shop this is, although obviously runs like clockwork, even had a bit if humour from the staff when we walked in. I don't usually like gingerbread but this was like no other gingerbread I've ever had. Lovely...

it's a tiny shop you can only get a couple of people in it at a time and there was a biggish queue to get in when we were there so I would probably say no to been dog friendly
