Tasty gingerbread served in the world's smallest and cutest shop! Friendly service and happy to answer questions. Right next to the church and Wordsworth's grave, you can't miss it!

Lovely little shop, very cute and a must visit if it's your first time in Grasmere. The gingerbread is an old fashioned recipe, and wasn't quite to my taste, so I wouldn't visit again, but definitely a place to go and see!

Such a lovely small shop! Just about big enough to fit around 3-6 people inside so expect to queue, but it's honestly worth it. As soon as you enter, the aroma of ginger is very welcoming. I purchased 6 slices of gingerbread which they bake...More

Just do it. The best gingerbread in the world. They make it freshly every day and the smell is divine. We call every time we go to Grasmere for the gingerbread. The staff are all dressed up in period costume which adds to the feeling...More

Traditional Grasmere gingerbread just has to be bought! Very lovely tiny shop with the shopkeeper in old fashioned costume. We enjoyed the gingerbread, it had a strong smell of ginger but was not too strong in flavour, just right.

This is a tiny shop in Grasmere and there's always a queue but the good news is the queue moves fast and the gingerbread is worth the wait. There's also plenty of history to read about on the walls as you wait to keep you...More

When in grasmere this is a must to keep old traditions from fading away. The gingerbread is lovely. Was expecting it to be hotter but I'm not complaining

We have been coming to Grasmere for over 30 years. No trip is complete without a trip to the Gingerbread shop. We buy pieces to eat as we walk the coffin trail to Rydal and then more for afternoon tea. Perfect. Reasonably priced and unique.

it's a tiny shop you can only get a couple of people in it at a time and there was a biggish queue to get in when we were there so I would probably say no to been dog friendly
