A wonderland outdoor cafe with spectacular views and the best scones we have ever tasted with a very refreshing pot of tea served the old fashioned way and with China cups!

We rented a small boat for three for 1h, you pay £20 (+£20 deposit) with money because there is no connection for a card machine. The people are friendly and give you life jacket if required. It was my first time rowing and I found...More

Lovely little place - which was needed after a long walk. Very relaxed and different to the usual but loved it was different and view was great to relax with 😍

Such an idyllic spot for a cafe! I visited on a rainy July day, so the place was very quiet. Nevertheless I enjoyed a coffee in close splendour to the lake. The guy serving was friendly and helpful.

Visited this place as my partner had spoken so much about it so had high expectations... The setting and cuteness of this place cannot be beaten but I do think it could do with a bit of TLC and tidying up!...The benches by the lake...More

What a gorgeous corner of the world! Faeryland is in a stunning part of Grassmere and is incredibly quaint and picturesque. It seems to be in it's own little bubble away from the crowds and nightmare parking of Grassmere itself. I love this place so...More

Please tell me why your prices are so high(compared to the rest of Grassmere) when there are signs everywhere stating that we have to bring our trays of empties back to the counter? Don't mind doing this in places but more insulting is the fact...More

Firstly, our prices are not high compared to the rest of Grasmere (Grasmere with one s, not two). Your tea pot for two was loose leaf of the highest quality, ethically sourced, fairly traded and frankly the best money can buy. We are designated as...More

We were recommended this cafe by an artist we met whilst walking around Allan Bank and are delighted that we went to the trouble of finding it and paying a visit. It's in an idyllic location away from the dreadful crowds and traffic of Grasmere...More

A very disappointing visit to an idyllic location (although they are plentiful in the Lake District). Poor facilities, a narrow range of expensive snacks and drinks, extremely slow service and a stroppy and unhelpful manager. £20 an hour for a rowing boat is not cheap,...More

Our scones and cakes are superb - our choice of teas, coffees and soft drinks legendary. Our rowing boats priced in line with other boats on other meres in the Lake District. Opinions vary...
