Enjoyed the journey through Wordsworth's life! The life-size figures at the beginning of the self-guided tour do not continue as you progress through the museum (thankfully!). Enjoyed trying to write with a quill pen!

The visit to Wordsworth cottage was very interesting and appears to be very much untouched from the time he and his family occupied the place. The volunteers know their subject giving an excellent insight into the history fo the family and the building.

The Wordsworth Museum, next to Dove Cottage, contains many artifacts owned by Wordsworth. It also has exhibits of historical significance about some of his contemporaries.
