Walked here on the Cuckoo brow walk. It was a beautiful day, so reached this point and watched heron and various insects dart amongst the lilies. Such a tranquil place.

Lovely walk, make time to sit by the Tarn, just beautiful. Several paths to choose from when walking back to Near or Far Sawrey.

Only a small tarn, we walked up from Near Sawrey, only a short walk up a track from the new play ground. Lots of Herdies and sheep to see. Follow on from here to Claife Heights or even Lake Windermere.

Walked the Tarns and Claife Heights round starting at Far Sawrey ( see also Cuckoo Brow Inn review). The views from the limestone outcrop are amazing and a place which is not well known

A walk from Hill Top to Moss Eccles tarn via Stoney lane which is opposite Tower Bank Arms is a must. It is beautiful, romantic, peaceful place and no other place like it!

One of my favourite places in the Lakes. We did a 5.5 mile walk incorporating Moss Eccles Tarn and Claife Heights, though the woods and back via a different route to our start point in Far Sawrey. Worth it!

We walked through the forest from high wray on the way to hill top (beatrix potters home) and discovered this beautiful tranquil tarn.

I ended up taking a long route to Moss Eccles Tarn, leaving from a small car park by a playground. I inadvertently missed the turn for the main trail, but ended up taking a nice walk on a mostly paved/gravel path to the tarn. Once...More
