After visiting the very quiet bar the other week we were informed the downstairs cellar bar was open. Expecting a warm welcome because of how quiet they were. We were ignored by a rude red haired woman who clearly didn’t know what she was doing...More

Dingy, dirty, well worn bar. The fixtures were tatty and the decor in need of a refurb. Probably a 'cool place' to hang out for the younger generation but not for us. Has a 'happy hour' and offers on drinks.

Stumbled across the entrance for this cellar bar in the centre. Tried it out anyway, crossed between a Student bar and Goth bar. It had sport on the big tv's which was a good thing and decent prices!

Nothing wrong with the place itself, nice and chilled out, free pool. But with the reviews on here and the camra signs and real ale revolution signs, I was expecting a good choice of real ales, it wasn't to be, I think it was 2...More

Went here with a friend and our sons and stopped all night when we were supposed to be doing a pub crawl. There were a couple of reasons for this. There was a couple of hand pumps with proper beer and lager for the boys....More

Visited the cellar bar a few times on my holiday to Ambleside and really enjoyed it! Visited mostly with my boyfriend and his younger brother due to there being a free pool table inside which was great fun. This was in a slightly secluded area...More
