You cannot go to Ambleside and not got to see the Bridge House, a classic view of the town. I am sure everyone who goes has a picture taken with it and I was no acception!

There was no access to the interior when we visited but this delightfully quirky building was well worth seeing. It also felt far more authentic than many of the other buildings in town. It would be worth visiting when open so its history could be...More

Bridge house is one of the few tourist attraction of Ambleside , this was bit disappointing , the size is very small and nothing much to see.located on a very narrow stream and small bridge just one double room structure.

Wonderful glimpse of times gone by. Owned by National Trust but free, two tiny rooms, but the lady there when I visited was full of information and stories. You have to park in town car park which can get very busy.

A very unusual and quirky building. Only takes five minutes to check it out and well worth the effort.

Just a fascinating little building and so unusual that you have to take a picture. There’s a lovely walk down the side of it next to the stream that was in full flow after the overnight rains which made it even more impressive.
