Fort Paull is the only fully intact Napoleonic Fortress in the North. Covering 10 acres of land this Museum is full of Underground tunnels and rooms, fantastic exhibits and on most weekends throughout the Summer, fantastic displays and events. The Fort is also the home of the worlds only surviving Blackburn Beverley Aircraft. There is also a fully licenced bar and tea rooms on site.

If i'm honest, needs knocking down, no historical importance really. The state of repair is poor, service is terrible and appears to be on its last legs. That said its worth a visit just to walk around and see what decay and no upkeep results in.

Visited Fort Paull lots of times over the years. Enjoyed the car shows and the battle re-enactments. I won 1st prize in the Japanese Motorbike show in 2005

Basically, a very big site with not a lot in it. On a nice day, this is a nice area to walk around, but the same could be said of anywhere with a bit of 'green'. The whole place looks like it lacks funds, and looks unkept. If you like damp, then enjoy!

Been to several events there and always found it enjoyable and fun for the kids. Good value admission prices and loads of places to sit for a picnic or eat and drink from the options on site.

Insight into several decades of history regarding the Humber and surroundings, well worth a visit. Bit fiddly to find but worth it.

This review is split into two - the Fort and the Catering. 1. The Fort. Much has already been said about the potential of this place and the need of a cash injection - the displays are extremely tired and some incomplete, the areas within the fort need tidying up, cleaning up and some areas need making safe, the toilet... A spur of the moment decision to visit Fort Paull (went there for the Paull heritage walk), but what a treat. For anyone interested (or not) in military history this is well worth the entrance fee. The fort's long history, and its key role in the country's defences since the 16th Century are well documented through the myriad of displays.... More

Enjoy a quiet stroll round the village, or go to the playing field on front and watch the ferrys arriving, Through summer there's car boot on the first Saturday of each month raising funds for local church and community centre

Went today and was a little disappointed. Some of the exhibitions had lighting missing, needed grass cutting properly around exhibits and on the banks and a badly needed a tidy up. If it wasn't for the cars then I would have been even more disappointed. Sorry guys but this is history and should be treated better.
