We visited the deep the week before half term with our Toddler only to find that (after purchasing our tickets) the small tropical pool containing all the brightly coloured fish had been drained. We walked past the first several sections quite disappointed that they were empty. This took about a quarter of the visit out immediately. The larger pool was... More

Hi we visited the deep today 22/02/2017 two of the main exibits were closed and the boxes where yougsters are asked to touch the creatures were all locked , we visited the deep two years ago, we were delighted with that visit but not this time, after telling my grand kids what they would see its such a pity they... Hi John, Thank you for your email. I’m sorry to hear of your disappointment on your recent visit. We have made it very clear, on our website, social media channels and in the entrance to the attraction that our Lagoon project has encountered a delay so is still under construction. As I’m sure you can appreciate, on a project of... More

If you like natural history and conservation then this is for you. There are also penguin. There is a lift by the way but the queue was enormous. We were a bit disappointed that the new coral light area wasn't ready to view but as the entry fee allows you to return unlimited times in the year it represents good... More

Thanks for your review Charlotte, We do get very busy on weekends and during school holidays, so would advise visiting around 10am or after 2.30pm when we are less busy. The lagoon is in its final stages of construction with the water/fish being gradually introduced over the next few weeks, so we hope you'll come back and see the end... More

I visited The Deep in February 2017 with my teenage children. There is one huge tank of water and maybe a dozen other smaller fish tanks. The fish in the tanks, particularly the large tank are fascinating to watch. There are sharks, manta rays and best of all swordfish which look like living relics from the dinosaur era. There is... We visited today, expecting long queues, arrived 11 30 car parks nearly full, but no issues getting into venue. Very interesting and informative, with loads of interactive educational boards which kept our 6yr old grandson entertained, the first section explains the timeline of life in our oceans and the 3D TVs kept the surprises coming.. although the 'Lagoon' was still... Visited with the family during half term. While a little busy the queues moved quickly and the deep is really good. One main tank was being refurbished but that didn't impact on the visit. The family ticket which gives you 12 months access is really good value.

My husband and I recently visited The Deep with family. We have visited several similar attractions over the years, both in the UK and overseas and while The Deep did not have anything we had not seen before, it was still an enjoyable half day and well worth a visit. There are themed areas within the Deep, although the Lagoon... More

Been looking forward to seeing this attraction for a while but in reality you don't get a great deal for your money and it's pretty crowded even outside of half term & holidays. Two main attractions are the aquarium tunnel and the penguins - the penguins have a very small tank and the tunnel is pretty short although there are... More

We think this is better than London aquarium as its a bit like a museum as well as an aquarium, and if you fill in the tax form for them to claim tax back from your ticket price (like gift aid) then they make your ticket valid for 12 months! So that is essentially a year's membership for the price... More

It was a great family day out and reasonably priced at around £37 for the family to be able to go as many times as we want in a year! The displays were awesome, it was just a shame the lagoon wasn't finished yet - but this was made clear on the website before we went. It was a bit... More
