The Hovelling is a tiny micro pub with a small room and no bar. Usually two great ales and ciders. The time of opening on TripAdvisor are wrong so I'll add an update picture for 6th May 2017

Lovely quirky pub serving fantastic real ale (straight out of the barrel), you sit down, order what you want and it's brought to you. Limited food.

On recommendation, I popped in on a Saturday lunchtime for a swift pint. I found it a welcoming and friendly pub serving well kept real ale.

In the centre of town, dog-friendly, great home made pies and pickle, fantastic cheese board and good service. In the summer one can sit outside in the traffic free square, in winter indoors is traditional and cosy.

Friendly staff, real ale, traditional cider, guest ales, fresh made ploughman's or sandwiches and pickled eggs. Enough said!
