The ship itself is great, but, so much more could be made of it as an attraction/visiting point. The ship is completely fenced in so you can't get real close & there's no information about Viking longships or the Viking invasion in general. If you're passing through then stop off, but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip. Such a... More

Set in splendid isolation on a crumbling cliff between Ramsgate and Sandwich this boat was restored several years ago and has lost the individually coloured shields it had originally so it is not really authentic. An interesting object. There is a good though seasonal cafe with free parking when it is open. Walk along the cliff towards Ramsgate or down... More

Good food and service .Good size menu and very good variety of good tasty dishes . A friendly family run café at reasonable prices. Popular with dog walkers, cyclists, and day trippers. Why can't we have more places like this

I have alway loved this replica. It's fantastic and it's not every day of the week you see a cool authentic life size replica. On my occasional visits to the nature reserve I a,whs like to stop and have a good close up gander. It used to be Lways full of picnic parties and horses of kids, but now it's... More

A lovely spot for walks or picnics overlooking Sandwich Bay. The Viking Ship is the official symbol for Thanet and with it in foreground and the bay in the back ground it presents so ideal photographic scenes. There is parking and a lovely little cafe for snacks, coffee, tea or ice cream. Or take along a picnic perfect place summer... More

The Viking Ship at Cliffs end is a good place to picnic and is quiet now with traffic calming. The bird life is a great feature. There is a cafe and toilet. So it is a good place to take a family with free parking .
