Pulled alongside this Pier recently on an unscheduled stop whilst cruising on the Crown Princess. Great views of the Port, Town and Ships.

A really nice walk to the end of the pier and back. We went in the evening so we saw a lot of little lights at the shore. We were just too late to catch a ferry going right past the pier!

Nice walk or bike ride, cafe at the end with reasonable prices. This is a good viewing point. Not sure if it is still open, the harbour bd want to close it during the redevelopment of Western/ docks/Hoverport area

Have been walking along this pier for the last 50 years. Rumour has it that the Harbour Board are closing it for rebuilding project. WHY?

Get in quick before the pier closes for regeneration soon. The pier (free to access) is a 600 metre walkway out to a lighthouse and super little café at its end. The walk in the autumn months can only be described as "bracing" but it...More
