Joined the Channel swim training crew via an introduction from Chloë a McCardel. Although that water and beach don’t sparkle like Home, the iconic surroundings and hospitality were second to none

Although a shingle beach it was lovely to walk along the front and the water was crystal clear, little bit of litter but we did a litter pick whilst we were there..

Dover's beach is well maintained and offers a relaxing lace to sit and watch ferries, cruise ships and water sports. The water is clean and seafront stalls provide teas, coffees and ice creams. There are no amusement arcades but a very nice fish and chip...More

This is a great, clean and welcoming place to sit and watch the ferries and people enjoying the water. Good facilities with sheltered seating. Cafes and toilets available but non of the amusements which ruin many other places.

You can walk from the seafront to the castle it is not very far but it is quite steep. If you are averagely fit it will take about 20 minutes.
