The beach and harbour area is nice to amble along the promenade with quite a bit of seating along the way. There is some restructuring of the harbour towards the Western Docks area and much of the beach is off limits to swimmers but just...More

Nice beachfront walk but there was nowhere to get an ice cream for the 3 year old who was with us. Ended up at Table Table in the Premier Inn but it was rather pricey.

Not our type of beach..lots of pebbles..but what was great was the view of the White Cliffs of Dover..and being able to look across the sea to France.

It's really a shoal of pebbles rather than what most people usually think of as a "beach." If you;e lucky enough to have good weather, you can see France over the water quite clearly in the distance. This is also a good place to get...More

I have walked the “promenade” with a baby stroller on numerous occasions and whilst the Dover history is an ever present reminder of the fighting spirit, it’s hard to get excited about what is now a ferry port full of lorries arriving and departing. Look...More

Stopped in Dover while on holiday in kent. We was lucky to get a parking spot opposite the harbour. Sat on front and was able to watch the ferries arriving and leaving. There is not many places to eat on front.
