This is such a great place to visit.any age.midwife tour brilliant. Ropery tour ok. So much to see. And a ticket for a repeat visit to. Xx food outlet good but should have enough supplies as lots of pre booked coaches and no bread or jacket potatoes after 1pm .

Why had I taken so long before visiting this unique venue? Three historic ships of different eras. HMS Cavalier in the same dock where HMS Victory was built. So much naval history in authentic surroundings where ships have been built since the 17th century. Slips, warehouses, rope manufacture, cranes and exhibitions within a historic and totally authentic surrounding. Utterly brilliant!

I was so surprised how much there was to do here, good places to eat, so much to see and do and they hold some fantastic events. Highlight for me was watching the spitfire fly by at "salute the 40's"

This place is well worth a visit for adults and young children. There is plenty to see and do and the rope museum is excellent. We went into the submarine and there were small children on there but it would be very difficult for disabled people making their way through the sub.

My son and I revisited the Dockyard yesterday to have another look round and see one or two features we missed first time. Our first visit was the Heart of Oak experience which was excellent. It took about half an hour to go round and was made all the more interesting by our period costumed guide who accompanied us. We... More

What an absolute gem of a day out. A full day with so much to do. All guides very knowledgeable. The history is amazing. Well worth a visit. Excellent facilities for food and drink or a picnic. Your ticket is valid for 12 months. An bargain. We'll definitely visit again.

smaller version of Portsmouth but without the crowds. Staff passionate about their jobs and work place. Good cross section of all history here. A walk around the buildings recommended

I am embarrassed to say that I didn't even know this place existed - but wow what a day out! The 'slips' used to build, repair and store these ships are enormous and breathtaking - the Warship HMS Cavalier, HMS Garnett & the submarine HMS Ocelot were fantastic - both warships had staff on board that explained lots about their...
