Overview
More
Canterbury Church Shop Ltd was originally established to celebrate Canterbury's Christian heritage and to supply residents of the City and visitors alike with Christian gifts and church supplies. The intention was to try to turn 'Tourists into Pilgrims', noting that the original tourists to Canterbury were Pilgrims to the Shrine of St Thomas Becket in the Cathedral. After four years the shop relocated from the City to the town of Lydd, on the picturesque Romney Marsh (an hour's drive south from the City), where we have made our home in the High Street. Through primarily concentrating on our internet business we hope to reach more people and serve the wider Christian Community.

We stumbled on this place, unsure of what it was. We were told by the garrulous Father(?) in civilian dress that the building dated back to Roman times and we were granted free access just to look at the building. Then we found the best...More
