Shopping centre

Open plan collection of shops and all the main names of the high street are here. Somehow thought this should have been roofed. So cold in winter. However plenty of choice.

I haven't been to Canterbury in about twenty years. It was my alma mater. So it was very pleasant to recall by walking around. It was called Whitefriers before but has had a face lift ( I know how it feels!) and there is still the practical side of shopping residing here.

I love the vibe when I go into canterbury. Nice shops and good variety. Loads of places to eat and drink and loads of parking.

Great for everything..food+shopping. All the top shops and also cheaper shops too. There is a park and ride bus available at a cost of £3per car this is a must as parking is limited in town+also expensive

Whitefriars is very conveniently located to the centre of Canterbury. It has a wide array of shops in a large open centre. They offer everything you could possibly need, from food to clothing and household items. It is a great break from the miles of souvenir shops in Canterbury centre.

It's always so busy, students everywhere making it really hard to look round, if like me you dont like crowds.(i must avoid the college/uni towns ;-)) There are some ok shops, as you walk further down past the cathedral you can find quaint little knick knacks shops, these are always a joy to look round. The bus garage is situated... More

Living nearby i visit often, always busy, and as much as the town has alot of visitors, sometimes for a local its just too much! Its a struggle at times to just go in one shop let alone several when its jam packed with foreign tourists, especially teens! The town and shopping centre is lovely and alot to find, but... More

Whitefriars is an open shopping centre in canterbury which has loads of different types of shop including clothes shopping, food places, boots and Tesco. It also has a car park but I can not comment on this as I do not use it, all I know is that it a multi-storey car park. The place is always kept clean and... More

Whitefriars is the place to shop in Canterbury!!! All major high street brands and retailers are here, including H&M, Topman/Topshop, Primark, River Island....... The shopping centre itself is also very nice, mixing modernity and old!
