It was absolutely lovely walking along the King's Mile this morning. There are lovely old and quaint buildings along the narrow street, including the crooked building which is now a bookstore. Simply breathtaking.

I was walking down this old street on my across to CANTERBURY WEST station and I wasn't very impressed with it all.

This street gives you a good overview of the old buildings of the town. Have a picture taken by the bookshop door on a lean.

This is one of Canterbury's most charming streets, full of independent retailers (though not as many clothes shops as there used to be). Even if you aren't interested in shopping, take a wander down here and enjoy the relaxed amtosphere.

The King's Mile is a good way to see Canterbury's old town. We didn't particularly care for shopping although there's lots of shops there. We used a parking lot on Watling St, pretty close to the center.

This shopping area has some very nice independent shops and restaurants, as well as places to have just a tea or coffee.

You must get your picture taken in the wonky door of this sweet bookshop. But don’t stop there. Step inside and mill about. You’ll not b3 disappointed. Amazing buildings along this road.

Before I left on my trip to Kent UK, it appeared there was no decent shopping in Canterbury as there was when I was a child. Wrong. There’s FABULOUS shopping here. Lots of streets with little shops and Fenwicks has replaced Ricemens of old. There’s...More

I've said it elsewhere, but really it is so disappointing that Canterbury doesn't make more of its assets. This is a street with many beautiful buildings, but really, that is IT. We spent time wandering other street in the city and they were more charming...More

A brilliant historical area of Canterbury, great to wander about with all of its shops and ancient buildings, the best one being the 17th century 'Crooked House.'

The highlight of the King's Mile is of course this crooked house which is used as a bookshop. There's a few floors where you can browse books and even buy one - they are very cheap here. The quote on the house by Charles Dickens...More

The King’s Mile is just a long street running from (and out of) the center of Canterbury. It IS an interesting walk with beautiful medieval+ houses, but the further you get from the center the tackier it gets, up to a point that would be...More
