Lovely gardens and so peaceful to,watch the punts go by, a really lovely holiday feeling and great for relaxation by ththe river, take a seat or stroll through the gardens. A wond Raul asset for Canterbury

It's not as big as I expected but it was worth a visit. It was absolutely beautiful with the river running along the garden.

Just outside the Westgate Towers and along the Great Stour River are the Westgate Garden. They are accessible either via a walkway or by taking a punt ride down the river. Depending upon the time of year this areas will be decked out in flowers...More

Beautiful paths winding around the gardens, with some stunning borders. Just before entering from the bridge there is a sculpture in the river, which is very clever. Lovely play area for the kids, Boats punting along the river and old buildings to look at. Can...More

Very nice to walk here and look at the local "Venezian shippers". Take the time for a lazy afternoon in the great gardens.

Hi, Dogs are allowed, there is a council pay and display at both ends and there are a few cafes relatively close by in the town centre.
