Visited on a sunny warm June day, lovely shady spots to cool down, and then take advantage of the deck chairs in the Sun. Only a small site but lovely just to take your time a wander. We didn't take a picnic, but it's a...More

This year was rather disappointing spoilt by The Beast from the East which da managed the snowdrops. Usually there is a carpet of white followed by the Spring Bulbs. Lovely walk along the river Wye. The walled garden is also lovely

Yes it's a lovely location, with great views of the river and a tranquil place to relax, but plant-wise it was almost totally boring - perhaps we hit the wrong week? Walled garden was more interesting.

I come here often to enjoy the river slowly moving along, tea in hand, sitting in a deckchair watching the kingfishers. There's not a lot of National Trust stuff but a nice stroll, gardens and tranquility

30 mins if you wish to speed round, a couple of hours if the sun is out and you decide to sit on a deckchair and watch the Wye eddy past you. Its easy going but would say not ideal for wheelchair or someone who struggles... More
