This ancient charity still takes care of elderly men. The Church and grounds attached are well worth the visit.

This is a real treasure that a lot of local people haven't ever visited. A little out of the city centre itself it doesn't have a lot of parking spaces but we have always found one there. The church is superb. Like a mini cathedral....More

We were lucky enough to visit during the Michaelmas fair. All the volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. The church is architecturally stunning and full of interest. The gardens are beautifully laid out and maintained. A lovely way to spend the morning

It does have some interest but I felt they really wanted my admission fee rather than to explain the huge investment for 13 people. Needs onsite information boards

Beautifully landscaped garden area with huge oak tree with pink cyclamens growing under. The lily pads in the pond area were stunning. Such a wide variety of flowers and plants. Great!

St Cross, like Winchester Cathedral welcomes worshippers. We have attended a number of Sunday services there (which are, of course, free - just like Cathedral Evensong). We have been able to enjoy the architecture and tranquillity without being tourists.

This is a peaceful place to visit a short walk from the city along the river side... It's not cheap to get in £4/pax, but worth a look round the church, gardens and environs...

Yes - there seems to be no restriction at all - lots of dog walkers so a great place to take your dogs.
