We were greeted with a very friendly welcome which was appreciated. Lots to see if you are a military historian. Staff were helpful. Recommended for military historians.

A fascinating museum telling the story of 200 years of service to the monarcy by the Gurkhas from the culture of their homeland in Nepal through 26 Victoria Crosses for bravery up to the present day. We worth a visit when in Winchester.

We had decided to organise a fun day of military History for a group of Cadets from Oxfordshire , we started with a tour of the Gurkha Museam with an initial opening address from the Museam Director Daren , and it was such a fun and informative day! We enjoyed every minute that exhibitions were engaging and the cadets took so much away . Thank you for yesterday!

Having completed the Tailwalker100k challenge, we had always wanted to find out more about the Gurkha regiments. They're us a huge smoking of information here, in a very small space, though the booking system ensured that we were able to walk through, whilst feeling safe during this C-19 pandemic. We bought the Gurkha recipe book from the small gift shop, which was extremely good value, but would have really liked to see more Nepalese items, such as prayer flags. Definitely recommend a visit and would suggest you allow at least an hour.

small museum but packed with artefacts and weapons used by the Gurkhas in the various wars they have been in with us. Lots of medals on display and re-enactments for battles

Nice and cool inside on a very hot day. Friendly staff. Cost £5 each to enter. Amazing amount of information on the Gurkha regiments, people and the large number of campaigns they have fought in.

Great little museum, enjoyed walking aroung and learning the history of this wonderful regiment. Our boys enjoyed looking at all the weapons. The information was presented well and kept our interest. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We would visit again!
