Town Quay is a fairly small commercial zone in the centre of Southampton's port zone. It's main use is related to foot fast ferries to Cowes (IoW).
It has a car park - what the charges and camera controlled.
Not worth a detour - Southampton...More
A total rip off car park. We did not see the small print on entry which said camera controlled. Only pulled in to take a photograph of a cruise ship and cost me £2.50 for 2 minutes. Will never go there again

Visited Southampton and went to town quay to watch the arrival and departure of the ferries. Had a great view of the harbour and the passenger boats sailing on cruises. Went to the marina as we had a cruiser hired for a Solent cruise.

I can't understand why there are so many reviews complaining about the parking, it is simple - buy a ticket and you don't get a fine, surely you wouldn't go to a restaurant, try the food and leave without paying.
Be careful! This 'private' car park has number plate recognition upon entry, which I did not realise! I sat in the car for 30 minutes to watch a huge container ship coming into port. I never left the car. I then drove elsewhere in the...More
Southampton City Council are equally as bad. I got fined at 9.30 at night in a car park, which has poor signage and did not make it clear that it was 24 hour payment, Its such an awful City they should be trying to persuade... More
Southampton City Council are equally as bad. I got fined at 9.30 at night in a car park, which has poor signage and did not make it clear that it was 24 hour payment, Its such an awful City they should be trying to persuade people to come here not put them off I would never use the awful City again. Southampton City Council are just greedy !!!!!
