We visited the museum on Saturday to see the wartime paintings of Portsmouth during the blitz by Edward King. Housed in a spacious gallery with artefacts relating to the blitz in Portsmouth including the nose cone of a bomb. Display of Air Raid Precaution items etc. The local artist King had been a patient at St James' Hospital and had... More

From the free Art exhibition, to Sherlock Holmes and the memories of growing up in Portsmouth, all thought provoking and some surprisingly good artwork. Do take some change for the old fashioned end of the pier machines such as the famous Portsmouth laughing sailor

If its a rainy day & the kids are driving you mad..... come here! Totally free, very interesting with various ongoing features, close enough to walk to from Gunwharf Quays or the seafront. Definetly something i would recommend for all ages.
