We visit the kings theatre every year for the pantomime with the kids and have never had a bad experience. The theatre is beautiful with many original features. Some work has recently been done on the toilets which was well needed. The pantomimes are always fantastic and the cast interact so well with the audience. There are usually some recognisable... Went to see Cinderella. We were seated in Row C of the gallery. The view was fine considering the height up! The pantomine was very good. A good night had by all. Would return but would plan to buy better tickets.

We went to see Jack and the Beanstalk and thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat in the dress circle so had a great view. Very entertaining and funny show, my nine year old loved the slapstick humour.

Went to see Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime. Two children aged 6 and 12 and two adults. One of the best pantomimes I have seen. Fantastic, family fun with lots of audience participation. Absolutely recommend .

This was our first family pantomime and all we can say is wow. The panto itself was brilliant, the theatre is beautiful and well kept. Easy to find although parking is horrible but there is a waitrose about a 10 minute walk away. The kids loved it. The cast was amazing with simple Simon being the stand out. Well produced... More

Attended last night with sister-in-law. We have seen Dirty Dancing at the Mayflower 2 years ago and absolutely loved it . Last night was terrible. Ten minutes in there was a 'technical ' difficulty which lasted 30 mins. Audience were reminded that the two bars were open so mayhem ensued . The content of the show was tacky not tastefully... Visited to see Dirty Dancing. I was going with friends and wasn't particularly looking forward to it. However I absolutely loved it. It is such a feel good show - the actors are great, the dancers incredible and the two singers are stunning. It follows the movie faithfully. The theatre is lovely and has character. It does need work- especially... More

Opening night, fantastic performance. Full house. Faultless cast, very entertaining especially as I don't usually enjoy musicals, had my full attention. Theatre is old, carpets are sticky and need urgent replacement or deep cleaning. Bar staff were great, overall an excellent evening.

I took my mother to see Oliver by the Portsmouth Players. We booked last minute and it was nearly sold out but still got a good seat. The show was amazing. They are very talented and the music was lovely. The theatre is so beautiful with amazing architecture. The staff were very polite and it was relatively easy to get... More

I took my wife to see the Russian State Ballets version of The Nutcracker. It's the first time I've been to the Kings Theatre and I have to say it's a slightly older decor than I've seen at other theatres, but to be honest that's not really a problem. The stall seats were comfortable and had plenty of leg room,... More
