Free museum and a wonderful display of guns and cannons. Grounds have displays of artificial all weather poppies, which look very good. Parking is £3.

A good day out for those gloomy days with the children. A place you can go time after time & still find some thing new. The cafe is also child friendly with wholesome food.

There is plenty to see at the fort from seeing how the fort overlooked all the land around to all types of artillery from small to massive.

We visited the Royal Armouries when the poppy installation was in the grounds. It was beautiful, if sad. There are plenty of other things to see /do, whilst there. It's very informative .

Yes, you pay £3 to use the car park - even if you just want to sit in your car and admire the view.
