Excellent afternoon out with friends, what an interesting and informative museum and it's free entry. Excellent and helpful staff / guides, you could easilly spend a few days looking at the displays and all so informative. Excellent coffee shop with lovely cakes too. Highly recommended.

A free museum showing ammunition and history through the ages. Explore the tunnels, see great views and if visiting at the right time see a large gun being fired. There is a cafe on site but the grounds are great for a picnic.

Hi Deborah, yes we are open 7 days a week - the only days we close are Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing Day - although if the snow is bad we have closed then as well! During the summer months the Museum opens every day... More
