The Mary Rose Museum is home to the Mary Rose and the thousands of artefacts that were recovered from the Solent. Built between 1509 and 1511, The Mary Rose was one of the first ships able to fire a broadside, and was a firm favourite of King Henry VIII. After a long and successful career, she sank accidentally during an engagement with the French fleet in 1545. Her rediscovery and raising were seminal events in the history of nautical archaeology. After a 34 year conservation project, the Mary Rose is now fully on display within her purpose-built museum.

What a magnificent site it is to behold. They've worked hard on this exhibit and it shows. Buy the multi ticket and visit all the attractions.

I had read and heard so much about the exhibition of the Mary Rose and was not disappointed. Well planned and so many important features taken care of in the construction of the museeum, allowing the remains of the hull and artefacts to be displayed to their best possible advantage. My only criticism is that the electronic infomation screens should... More

Amazing to get a feeling of what it was like so long ago and a fantastic job has been done by so many to bring it all back to us.

I had no idea what to expect here. It was my husband that was eager to visit. I have to say I was totally amazed at the whole thing. The ship is beyond belief and bought to life so well with all the artefacts and holograms etc. I thoroughly enjoyed this museum, and would happily return.

A lot to see and explore just in this museum and definitely worth a visit. Not great for small kids but older ones will find a few things to see and do that are entertaining and educational.

Just fantastic. Great use of lights and holograms. Fabulous artefacts. Well written. Not too wordy. Plenty of things for children to concentrate on too.

Very well thought out attraction that would appeal to young and old alike.Set on 3 levels that can be reached by a lift. The well reconstructed remains of the Mary Rose are brought to life, with visuals and sound effects. The surrounding 'museam'areas, provide a wonderful insight into life aboard the ship. This is a must see, when visiting the area and a thoroughly... More

Don't even question of the £18 is worth it! I first visited here in a school trip and loved it. Now it's so much more, a dedicated museum, projections onto the ship, an amazing amount of artefacts. If you are a fan of boats, naval history, or Henry VIII you must visit this attraction!

This was an interesting visit and gave a good account of the exhibition and all the things which were found with the ship, including the skeleton of the ships dog.
