The aquarium is small compared to many others but has so much inside! Worth the quite cheap price and the staff appear to care for their work. Also there’s an otter pool which is not always in most aquariums! Just a nice trip out!

Small run down and dirty! Baby change disgusting and toilet covered in poo. Bins overflowing. Ladies no better and no toilet roll. Cafe also run down. Needs full refurbishment. Need to lower price until they sort the issues out!

I thought price wise the entrance charge was about right - the upkeep of this place must be high. Having said that, it looked terribly tatty in places, with rubbing boards missing, Christmas-posters still up. Some of the tanks looked quite uncared for, and the...More

Visited with our 22 month old. It cost just under £22 for two adult tickets (gulp) as it was a last minute activity on a rainy afternoon and we didn’t book in advance. The whole thing took 40 minutes, 5 mins was in the gift...More

We visited the blue reef about 7 years ago and found it to be a good place to visit, yesterday the weather was bad and so we changed our plans from an out door place to the blue reef, we arrived about 10.30, there was...More

We visited the Aquarium with my friend while on a two day trip to Portsmouth. I was expecting greater tanks but still my experience was very nice. We explored a lot and felt entertained. I found the structure of the route very interesting. We spent...More

Had the fish keepers experience day today as a present. It was such an amazing 1-2-1 day! Saw so much, felt like a vip day. I recommend this experience so much as a gift or a treat to yourself and to have Rob do your...More

Our time was interesting and the staff friendly but I have to say it isn't as large as I was imagining. Allow 30 to 60 minutes depending how much of a hurry you are in.

This is a nice little aquarium. The best bits are the otters and the tunnel section where you get to walk under and amongst the fish. Most tanks are pretty good. There is a good Seahorse tank and an impressive one full of African Cichlids....More

Having read the previous reviews our expectations weren't set high but Blue Reef proved to be a worthwhile distraction for our 2 and 5 year olds. Granted its not up to Sea World at Brighton on our home patch anything is what you make of...More

Hi, Yes these answers are all correct, we are wheelchair accessible. The only tank where there are steps is our Stingray tank, however this tank is also accessible from ground level. Thanks Blue Reef Team

There is a small covered area outside, it's right by the sea so if it windy it can be rather chilly! There is a cafe next door, which i think they own, so they may not be lee on you bringing your own food. However, there are... More
