Lovely building but shocked to see this lovely building closed Would of loved to have had the chance to go inside for a drink and something to eat.

We were on our way back home from Bristol and decided to stop off in wotton because I'd heard quite a lot about the ancient ram inn. The village itself is lovely with pubs and shops etc. The ancient ram inn closed its doors and served its last pint sometime in the 50s I believe and since then it's become... More

Carried out an investigation at the Ram Inn in September 2016. Spent the night there and it is an amazing place. It is worth visiting if you love old historic building but even more so if you have an interest in the paranormal, as the Ram Inn is reported to be very haunted. I really like this building, it has... More

I have visited the Ram Inn a few times now and it never disappoints. On this occasion it was part of a fairly relaxed and informal paranormal investigation. The place has a reputation for hauntings and, unlike a previous visit which seemed pretty active, on this occasion the Ram was relatively calm and peaceful. I've worked in heritage sites for... We came here via an organised trip through Black Tulip investigations The place is a little run down, but at 1000 years old wouldn't you be? We were here from seven in the evening through to four in the morning. There was a "sensitive" medium there but rather than just rely on their testimony they also used night vision cameras,... More

As one of the most haunted locations around I would personally recommend the ram inn to anyone who is into the paranormal. The house is full of history and is interesting to look around, the evening was interesting with some action occurring do not go here if you have a weak heart as it is very unnerving at times. If... The building is very old,as the name suggest ,so don't expect a luxury accommodation. I suggest an over night stay ,you can judge for yourself if the spirits are there or not.

At 90, we were so impressed with John's kind hospitality and stories. Thank you John, a Saturday morning visit that I certainly won't forget.

I feel some of the negative views expressed so far to be quite unfair. Be prepared for the fact you are entering an ancient and eccentric old building and you won't get a shock....I believe this adds to the charm and interest of the Ancient Ram, as did the presence of the owner John, who had us all sit down...
