Cannot say much about this place. A little disappointed. Think it was over priced for what I see. Reception was where you paid to get in with a few things dotted around to see. Then made our way into what use to be an old...More

A real gem. Full of local information, well set out and full of nostalgia. Many items conjuring up a great deal of thought. With friendly staff well worth a visit.

As others have said, this is a small museum - with exhibits in one large and one small room, upstairs in the Victorian town hall. It is, however, a fascinating place, which proudly tells the story of Winchcombe's history by presenting objects made by the...More

Although it's small it has the knack of displaying its exhibits in a fashion that allows them to pack the place without appearing to do so. One tip, it's cash only

I love this museum and have visited twice. There is a fairly interesting collection of old police uniforms and truncheons etc. from around the world, but what is really special is the window into rural life in the 18th/19th centuries that the collection of local...More

visited this today whilst waiting for the bus back to Cheltenham and it is run by volunteers and costs £2 for adults and is up a flight of stairs. It was good to see all the artefacts of local life and all the police uniforms...More

Surprisingly interesting museum in the heart of the village. Just a nice size to spend half and hour or so browsing and learning about village life in the 19th century.

This is a small museum in a lovely town: it houses many interesting and unusual country tools and historical artefacts as well as cabinets with displays of Police uniforms from many countries as well as tools of the trade. It's not overloaded and the items...More
