Beautiful Woodland Walk, Great for Kids

Beautiful autumnal walk in the woods. We never make it down to the lake as we have children, but the walk through the woods has plenty to keep the kids entertained. The parking was pretty busy as it was such a nice day, but we arrived early when it was nice and quiet. There are some steep places but we... More

Well hidden gem, car park not clearly signposted from the top £3:00, but free for N.Trust Free mini bus to take people to the mansion if you don't want to walk. Mansion is not NT. but well worth the price. Enthusiastic volunteers give a warm welcome. We will go again,

Visited here recently. Absolutely lovely and a great place for a walk. It costs £3 for parking & is free for national trust. There are 3 main walks, orange, pink & purple. We did the purple walk which was not as well sign posted once off the main track. We got a little lost but somehow ended back on the... More

Very pleasant walk in beautiful woods and a lake setting. Not all paths suitable for families with prams. Was lovely and very entertaining to observe the cattle, sheep and goats!

Natural pretty surroundings, quiet and serene. Also a perfect place to take the kids or the furkids. Quaint little coffee shop. Wear good walking shoes

We visited with our dog who loved the woods for running about. There are areas with sheep that she had to go on the lead for. We didn't realise the cafe and toilets are only open a few days a week so check before going if you want to use. You pay £3 to park as this is national trust... More

Woodchester park is a lovely place for a walk alone or with children. The play trail has various activities including rope swings and a zip wire for children and adults alike. Suitable in the rain as lots of cover from the trees. The hills can be a little sheep in places but is accesible with a pram all the way... More

First time we visited Woodchester Park. We went on the pink route walk. Got a little lost so I would recommend taking a photo (on your phone) of the routes, when you leave the car park. Walked through fields with cows and sheep, so if you take dogs, they must be on leads in these areas. Lovely lake to walk... More

Very well organised. The car park is big, the trails are clearly marked throughout and all of the staff we encountered were cheerful and friendly. We went on a very hot and sunny day and found that some parts of the longer trails are very open-so I'd advise bringing plenty of water for the family (including any four legged friends).... More

My girlfriend and I decided to spend a sunny bank holiday outdoors by exploring Woodchester Park. It's a beautiful place to stroll and explore and would be ideal for anyone with kids or a dog who would have plenty of grounds to run free. The parking is a little restrictive, but definitely worth checking out on a nice day!
