One of the most beautiful parish churches I have ever visited. Any time I am in The Cotswolds, if it is convenient, I'll make a detour. So peaceful, so charming + check calendar to see if there are special events happening.

A Church and surrounding Churchyard with its 100 or so 300 year old Yew trees is a sight to behold and a sight you are unlikely to see anywhere else. The village itself is well worth a walk round, very quiet but some interesting shops and eateries. There was more to see we were told at the Tourist Information centre... More

Most churches are known for their architecture rather than their churchyards. Painswick is famous for the 99 immaculately coiffured Yew Trees which cover the churchyard. it must be a full time job keeping them trimmed.

This church is a true gem and in a really lovely Cotswold town. The inside is light, airy and spacious, with a delightful altar piece in the side chapel. Outside the churchyard has an astounding collection of 99 yew trees, most of which are sponsored by individuals to ensure their survival. The tombstones are interesting but don't miss the almost... Beautiful church that has well a kept churchyard. The church is at the centre of the village, so it is worth a half hour relaxing stroll.

Really nice church to visit with great background on the village of Painswick. The groundskeeper answers tons of questions! He was just delightful and entertained questions from us and other people visiting.

This is a beautiful church, 14 bells, lovely nave, still shows the canon ball damage on the spire from September 5 th 1643 following the siege of Gloucester. Famous 99 yew trees, clapping ceremony, pressing ceremony, it's a delightful old place of worship. Kept so well and worth exploring

This was a restful relaxing stop on a day walk in the Cotswolds. Both the trees, the cemetery and the Church are lovely, kept in beautiful condition. If you get to peak inside the church, you will be amazed at the needlepoint kneelers.
