The centre has an excellent variety of birds in aviaries but the highlight of the visit was the flying displays which where done by expert and very knowledgeable enthusiastic staff and the boss himself. Coffee is available on site and there is an excellent café in the garden centre right next door for lunch. Kids and adults young and old... More

Good spot to walk the gardens and then sit down and watch the birds do their magic. You can get a good cup of tea or a lunch.

My husband booked the Flying Start experience for us and I'm so glad he did. We decided to go early so we could look around and take in a flying display before our booking. I was amazed at how many birds they have there. You can tell the birds are very well looked after and the people that work here... More

What great value for money, 4 flying displays during the day, all with different birds. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Children well catered for as tree branches! Very hands on experience and a wonderful day out.

Having an interest in wildlife in general we thought we would take the opportunity to have a look at these magnificent birds and where pleasantly surprised, not only do they have substantial number of fine birds their flying displays are by far the best I have ever seen, not only are you very close ,3metres away from all sorts of flying raptors,... Took all four grandchildren at half-term and this was absolutely brilliant. The flying display and talk was spot on, as it was informative for everyone at all levels. the children loved being able to 'handle' the birds and watching them fly free was so inspiring. the conservation work and the need to highlight what is happening in some parts of... We booked a Flying Start Experience and what a day it was. We arrived well before our booking so that we could look around. The Flying Start also includes price of admission - a great deal. The centre is easy to find and has plenty of parking. There is a small shop at the entrance, then it's out into the... More

This centre is by far the best we have been to, an incredibly vast collection of birds and a wealth of knowledge from the handlers. We watched 4x 1 hour long displays and learned so much about the birds, their habitat, their characteristics and loads more. The staff really do care about these birds and their welfare. Lots to look... More

We visited the Falconry Centre on Sat 29th Oct. The centre is well sign posted which makes it easy to find. when you arrive there is plenty of car parking spaces. There is a Garden centre and special walk adjoining the falconry Centre which has a gift shop and a well organised Café with good menu selection. As soon as... More

I've never been anywhere where the poor birds looked so sad. Enclosures too small and overgrown with bushes, all dark and dingy, even for birds whose natural habitat would be bright and sunny. One vulture cage said birds were flown every day but goodness knows about the others. Nowhere for the birds to stretch their wings adequately. It was the... More
