We dined here twice and found the food excellent country fare. The bangers and mash (not to mention copious amounts of gravy) were excellent - made from pigs reared locally. Others tried the vegetarian tarts which were equally delicious. Warm and welcoming after long country...More

Staying in local cottage. Nice warm welcoming pub after a days exploring, good local brew, varied menu tried on 3 nights all meals excellent and with veg at no extra charge! Good service and entertaining locals banter. Would recommend and return.

Excellently cooked and presented meals at amazingly low prices. The best I've had for many a year. The service was quite quick. The Inn was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished and is popular with the locals.

We stopped of here on our way home from a visit to a stately home. A lovely welcome from the staff and good, freshly cooked food at reasonable prices. Adequate parking facilities at the pub itself or in an adjacent lay-by

We visited this pub for Sunday lunch and weren't disappointed. Food was plentiful, well cooked and we'll presented. We had the roast beef and roast pork, both were delicious. We were offered extra gravy which is always a nice touch. Will definitely eat here again.
