The children spent a lot of time inspecting every aspect of the Neptune fountain. The water was a bit dirty because of the heat wave but the fountains were very cooling to look at in the hot weather.

This fountain was lovely. Based on the main strip, where really will you wouldn't expect it to be. This fountain would fit in with fountains you see in Rome. Glad we saw it.

I wish to see more Regal architecture like this while exploring the rest of England and the U.K. I would be tempted to get in for a paddle if it wasn't so lovely, especially during one of our best summers for years. Really nice spot!

Worth visiting Cheltenham just to see this enchanting fountain. It is based on the design for the Trevi fountain in Rome.

This is the center of Cheltenham - on the main road near the bus stand. It has a series of benches nearby and you can sit and enjoy the beauty of the fountain and also witness the slow town at the same time.

Perhaps the bad reviews came during a different time, when I visited, it was clean and glorious. I’m glad I saw this whilst walking through the promenade district.

Just a fountain but really lovely and well worth a look particularly on a fine day. It is situated on the Promenade.

Glad we didn't go out of our way to find this "non-fountain". Visiting in mid-April we expected the fountains to be running, but they weren't. The sculptures were nice, but without the fountain I feel it loses its significance. Disappointed.

the fountain was i am sure lovely in its day but now it seems unloved, dirty, broken and rarely switched on

Is this Neptune? Is it a floozy in a jacuzzi? It's actually a really charming fountain. Many walk straight past without pausing to have a look Unveiled in 1893, it was designed by engineer Joseph Hall and carved from Portland Stone by sculptor Richard Lockwood...More
