For a family of four it worked out at about £1 per person each way. For an immaculately maintained and presented attraction with very friendly staff I think that's a bargain. Well worth the experience

Nice lift with excellent view and give you easy access to scenic walk. Don't forget there are two lifts on different cliffs in the city. Try both of them.

If your up for a walk and want fantastic views this is a must. The view from the top of the cliffs is amazing looking down at the old and the new towns.

Of course this was an exciting trip for the children, but I would recommend walking up the steps from Tackleway for the fit, better views. If you are unable to walk very well then the lift is for you!

I thoroughly enjoyed the gentle rise as more and more was revealed of the Old Town and beach vista! A very pleasant way to travel from beach to cliff top.

The ride is cheap. Feels very safe and old. Nice on warm hot day to go up the top for an ice cream in the sun.

Not a lot to say - just as fun as I remembered, saved the legs and wonderful views. Friendly staff and £2.70 for a return trip up to the country park. Really nice to get up and look along the coast and out to sea....More

Sadly it wasn't the clearest day but still a wonderful view from the very clean railway car. When you reach the top you can then walk further up the hill for the glorious views over Hastings or out to sea. So pleased we did this,...More

There's on street parking on top of the hill (meter, or if you are willing to park a few streets away, free) or a car park opposite at Pelham Place Car Park and limited on street at the bottom.

Hello, Once you leave the West Hill Upper Station there is about 400 yards walk on wide, well-maintained paths. I am 72 years old with walking difficulties and I found it to be quite a relaxed walk. Drehort
