A wonderful walk following the base of the cliffs from Brighton to Saltdean. You can walk there and back in a couple of hours - unless you get distracted half-way by a super cafe which makes the best bacon sandwiches in the world, when your journey may take a little longer.

This is not exactly an attraction more a healthy addition to a visit to bracing Brighton. We usually park (4 hours max) at the Marina , walk along the undercliff to Rottingdean for leisurely lunch (usually in "Beyond Design" or one of the several cafes up the high street and maybe a stroll up to the Rudyard Kipling gardens .... An easy walk on flat smooth surface beside the sea which is very pleasant and good views of the marina and of white cliffs stretching away to the East.

Having travelled the coast road from Brighton to Newhaven, I had never realised there was a sea level walk. Today, my friend who loves to walk, decided to show me some of the great places to explore to the east of Brighton. This is hidden from the road, and the cliffs shelter the path. Warning signs everywhere do tell you... More

We walk our dog there almost every day. It is kept nice and clean in spite irresponsible people who don't clean up after their dogs! Can be a bit windy sometimes.

a really lovely walk on a summers day or when the sea is wild and windy but what a shame dog owners can't pick up after their animals!

Bike ride from Brighton to saltdean . This is a must do. Very pleasant ride with sea on one side and cliff on the other side. Quite a wide path so enough place for every body

Access through the Marina , is using the Broardwalk this area is full of restaurants/shops etc . Once on the walk you are South facing and walking on a protected path right along the... More

This is a concrete built walkway under the chalky cliffs next to Brighton Marina going East. There is plenty of room for walkers/joggers and bikes along here and all in a safe environment. You can get down to the beach at many breaks in the wall along the way. Steps take you down to the pebbled beach and when the... More
