This is a very popular venue and could be so much better. The 0815-0930 lane swimming was chaotic because the session for “adults” was short. Then it was shortened still more as a load of swimming classes took over an increased section of the pool....More

ITS ALL ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY , JUST TAKING YOUR MONEY The Brighton and Hove swimming complexes are both FILTHY, FALLING TO BITS , LACKING IN INVESTMENT, and they are expensive. THE SAUNA at King Alfred of which the structure is collapsing is an overcrowded,...More

5 mins away from where I live so have used a few times over the last 12 months or so. Looks a bit run down but the pool is ok as are facilities.

Took the family there and what a mistake to make. My partner said she would never ever set foot in there again due to the dirt that was, pretty much, everywhere.

Once again I made the trip to the leisure centre for a swim. After complaining once about the hygiene standards I thought it might have improved - I was wrong. The floor of the changing rooms is disgusting with hair everywhere and blocked drains. The...More

The centre's pool has broken lockers, poorly functioning showers, damaged lockers and dirty changing facilities. The depressing and uncared for feel of this place is why so many people prefer to drive out to the Triangle centre for their swimming. Staff generally appear unhelpful and...More

It was ok. There was some really unacceptable behaviour from teenagers in the changing rooms, with lots of strong swearing. There was no staff presence in the changing rooms, or if there was, they did nothing to protect the other customers from these scallywags and...More

Love this leisure centre! Best in Brighton! Long may it carry on. Great gym equipment, lovely atmosphere. And it's a maritime heritage site where 22,500 men and women did their naval training in World War II when it was commandeered to become a 'land ship'!

The swimming pool is small so you should check with the staff before going. When not crowded, the place is great. And once swim is finished, just go for a relaxed walk on the seafront. Heavenly!

The pool has filters around the outside that the water "slops" into. This is then pumped back into the pool, so any debris will be caught as it enters the filter. To my knowledge I have never known it be closed for... More
