While staying with friends in Hove they suggested a Sunday morning walk on Devils Dyke where we could walk their dog and see the hand glilders take off and glide over the Downs. Free parking but there wasn't many spaces left so we parked outside...More

We visited on a very cold windy morning in December. The carpark is £3 odd but a kind lady leaving gave us her ticket. There are hang gliders getting ready, and launching into the stiff breeze right next to you, then riding the up draughts...More

Spectacular scenery, great for a country walk. Worth getting the open top bus from Brighton especially if the weather is kind. So so bar / restaurant, on a busy day can wait a long time for average food.

We had a lovely bracing walk, the views are amazing and we watched the paragliders for some time. We then had a coffee at the pub which is excellant, although we did not eat there the food looked really good.

Wonderful day out. Bus stops at the door. Food is very good at reasonable prices. On a clear day well worth a visit.

I'd agree. Absolutely nothing like the Netherlands although I have a feeling there is a windmill not that far away.

Tree parking on the other side of the park / reserve, in the dip. I have parked there before, but beware, it's an uphill climb and quite steep in some cases.

Yes, absolutely, no problem. However, be mindful that it's still necessary to pick up and dispose of their droppings. If there are any sheep or cattle in the vicinity, then it's best to put the lead on your dog.
