What a marvelous location, so tranquil. Well worth just walking around such a glorious area. I would not go in summer months as I think the area would be very very busy

If you visit the Clergy House then a visit to the Church provides a link as both buildings share a history. Interesting cruciform shape and worth visiting when the bells are ringing as they are in the centre of the Church. Needs help with restoration so a donation is always welcome.

Lovely peaceful church to visit. Located on The Tye. Rarely have I seen so much green area around a church. Well worth a visit.

Pride of place in this historic village in the Cuckmere Valey, the visitor finds St Andrew's Church and The Clergy House (National Trust), together with the main features of the Tyne Park and the almost mediaval high street with hotels, pubs, cafes, the market cross and shops of all description still showing names of the ancient village artisans. A wonderful church from the 14th century stands on the edge of the village green, beside the old clergy house of almost the same date and by the river Cuckmere.

This church sits proudly on the village green in the lovely village of Alfriston. The bell ringers were at work when we visited which was lovely to watch and listen to - the tower is in the middle of the nave and so the ringers ring from there.

Situated on the Tye (Village Green) behind the main road through Alfriston this lovely old Church is well worth a visit. We have attended local music events and Christmas Services here over the years and even an atheist like me can appreciate the tranquility of the building and its grounds. There are plenty of Pubs and local shops near by.

Very romantic village with its Church surrounding nicely kept clear and open to allow peaceful walk around it and its approach... Bravo to the local authorities to have well preserved all that beauty....
